THE LEARNED OWL HOSTS CHRISTOPHER POP-IN-KINS™ COSTUMED CHARACTER AND BOOK SIGNING DECEMBER 6TH FROM 1:00 TO 3:00 PM

Make plans now to visit The Learned Owl Book Shop on Sunday December 6th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM when Christopher Pop-In-Kins makes a very special visit from the North Pole. Santa has given Christopher permission to visit and hug the children without losing his magic! In addition, Brian Bradway, illustrator of the book, will be there for a book signing so we encourage families to bring the children and stop by to have their book sets autographed by
the illustrator.

The Learned Owl Book Shop is located at 204 North Main Street in Hudson, Ohio. Visit Christopher, get a candy cane from one of Santa’s elves, enter to win a drawing for an American Girl doll, earn a chance to win a $50 Learned Owl gift card, and enjoy music from James & Sylvia Kalal playing classical guitar featuring Sounds of the Season. This event is part of the Hudson Holiday Walk that includes the whole downtown Hudson area from noon to 6:00 PM that day. Bring the family for a visit to this amazing independent bookshop and browse three floors of books! For more information, call The Learned Owl at 330-653-2252, or toll free 800-968-2685, or visit http://www.learnedowl.com/news0100.html.

CHRISTOPHER POP-IN-KINS™ IS SELECTED BY CREATIVE CHILD MAGAZINE AS A 2009 PREFERRED CHOICE AWARD WINNER

ALLIANCE, OHIO – Christopher Pop-In-Kins has been selected as a 2009 Preferred Choice Award winner by Creative Child Magazine. Creative Child Magazine is a national bi-monthly publication that provides parents with the latest information on how to nurture a child’s creativity and includes special sections like Kids at Play, Health and Safety, Discovering Creativity, Nurturing Talent and Tomorrow’s Child.

Creative Child Magazine’s Toy Awards Program is unique. Each year, Creative Child Magazine hosts a two-day product review event that includes over a hundred guest reviewers. Product reviewers are moms, music educators and early education professionals. All products are divided into categories and reviewers are asked to review each product according to the corresponding criteria, and also to provide written comments. Scores and comments are then tallied and reviewed.

Only one product per category can win a Toy of the Year Award, as well as the CD, DVD, Book and Game of the Year Award. The remaining finalists receive the prestigious Preferred Choice Award. In addition, all products submitted are published in the Creative Child Magazine Holiday Issue planned for publication in November 2009.
